Book of Us · Illustrated Memory Books
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Book of Us ("we", "us") turns personal memories into illustrated books. We are currently in an early-access phase: this site collects sign-ups from people who want to be among our first members. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English, because that's how we do everything.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, a small piece of code that sets cookies and helps us measure visits, sign-ups, and the effectiveness of our ads on Meta platforms. When you submit a form, the Pixel may also send Meta a hashed (scrambled, non-readable) version of your email and first name to improve measurement accuracy — a feature known as advanced matching.
Meta processes this data according to its own terms. You can learn more, and manage your preferences, here:
Only with the services that make this site work, under their own privacy safeguards:
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We keep your sign-up information for as long as the early-access programme runs, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, to object to processing, and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@the-bookofus.com — we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
This site and our communications are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
